The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Sees Record-Breaking Freight Volume: People's Daily Overseas Edition

     As of December 15 this year, the total cargo transported by the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor's rail-sea intermodal trains has surpassed 900,000 TEUS, reaching 903,000 TEUs, marking a 9.6% YoY increase. The volume has already surpassed the entire freight volume of last year, which stood at 861,000 TEUs, setting a new historical high. This growth provides strong momentum for the opening-up and development of the western region and boosts trade exchanges between countries and regions along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

  Since the fourth quarter of this year, the volume of import and export goods transported by trains along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor has accelerated, with an average daily transportation of 3,434 TEUs. This represents an increase of 1,091 TEUs per day compared to the previous three quarters, a 46.6% rise.
