National Railway Freight Volume Reaches 350 Million Tons and 194,000 Wagons in November, Setting a New Record of Daily Average Loading: People's Daily

     In November, the national railway completed a freight volume of 350 million tons, a 5.5% YoY increase. The daily average number of loaded wagons exceeded 194,000, a 5.1% YoY increase, setting a new historical record.

  Freight transport capacity continues to strengthen. Since October 24, the national railway has exceeded 190,000 loaded wagons for 57 consecutive days. In November, the national railway's container freight volume reached 77.11 million tons, a 14.9% YoY increase.

  Key material transport is well ensured. In November, the national railway completed 184 million tons of coal transport, including 132 million tons of thermal coal, a 1.9% YoY increase. The coal stocks at 371 railway direct-supply power plants remained at high levels. Additionally, the transport volumes of grain, oil and smelting materials increased by 14%, 7.7% and 9.8% year-on-year, respectively.
