Running along the banks of the Pearl River and the shores of the South China Sea, 11 high speed rail lines connect 11 cities within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Traveling on the Fuxing EMU train has become a popular way for people to explore the region.

In the central part of the Greater Bay Area, the 141-kilometer Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High Speed Railway tightly links Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, forming a prime sightseeing route in this region. One of the busiest railway lines in the area, it facilitates the rapid movement of people and commerce, significantly contributing to the Greater Bay Area's dynamic growth. Since the Hong Kong section began operations in September 2018, the line has carried over 45 million passengers. On June 15 this year, Hong Kong introduced its first sleeper train service, followed by the launch of the country's most advanced sleeper train, the Fuxing intelligent sleeper EMU train, on October 1, offering more diverse and convenient travel options for Hong Kong residents.

On December 2 this year, the Macao Light Rail's Hengqin Line commenced operations, connecting passengers to the Hengqin High Speed Railway Station in Zhuhai. Popular tourist destinations like Macao's Ruins of St. Paul's and Fisherman's Wharf remain favored spots for visitors.

The Guiyang-Guangzhou High Speed Railway and Nanning-Guangzhou Railway, like wings spread across the western part of the Greater Bay Area, connect Zhaoqing, Foshan and Guangzhou while extending their reach to Southwest China, facilitating travel and economic ties among Guangdong, Guangxi and Guizhou. With recent upgrades allowing speeds up to 300 km/h, the Guiyang-Guangzhou High Speed Railway further shortens travel time between Southwest China and the Greater Bay Area, better meeting the travel needs of local residents.

The recent opening of the Guangzhou-Shanwei High Speed Railway and Meizhou-Longchuan High Speed Railway has formed a high-speed rail loop in central and eastern Guangdong, with the G8445 and G8446 loop Fuxing EMU trains linking Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Huizhou and the Chaoshan Hakka area. The high speed rail loop in eastern Guangdong connects numerous tourism resources, significantly boosting visitor numbers to attractions like Meizhou Ye Jianying Memorial, Sanheba Battle Memorial Park, Yearning Tea Plantation Tourist Attraction and Jieyang's Confucius Temple and Huangmanzhai Waterfall.

The convenience brought by high speed railways is accelerating the rapid integration of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, fostering the formation of a "Greater Bay Area on Rails" and continually enhancing the well-being of residents in the 11 connected cities.
