Xinjiang Launches Ice and Snow Tourism Train: Guangming Daily

At 20:30 on December 20, passengers boarded the Y925 tourist train from Urumqi, Xinjiang, directly to the Altay region, embarking on a four-day ice and snow journey. This marked Xinjiang's first ice and snow tourism train since the onset of winter.

　　As winter set in, interest in Xinjiang's ice and snow tourism has surged. The Xinjiang railway authority seized this opportunity to organize the tourism train, contributing to the high-quality development of Xinjiang's ice and snow economy. In 2024, the Xinjiang railway authority operated 101 tourist trains, accommodating over 50,000 passengers. Moving forward, Xinjiang plans to continue running tourism trains to cater to travelers during the ice and snow season.
